Inspiration
Aphrodite's garments and crown are "dreamy," sweet," and "delicate." Those words are metaphors for female beauty and are thus an appropriate expression for human love in all seasons. So this week, to echo the spring breeze and gentle sunshine, I decided to create some arrangements which will infuse viewer with youth, affection, and refreshment.
Color scheme
Coral+Baby pink+Baby blue+Naples yellow+ Violet In order to convey a gentle and agreeable feeling, the color combination should not contain strong contrasting colors or textures. The vivid and lively, yet harmonious color combination is the best choice for this theme.
Procedure
In a widemouth, footed urn, use garden branches and leaves as a backdrop, adding several carnation buds to create lines, and blue hydrangea and lace flower on both sides as a foundation. Make a concentrated cluster of garden roses in the middle and line them up in a full open L shape. Use pink spider mums as a loose divider between the roses. Tuck in additional green mums and hypericums to spill unevenly over the lip of the vessel. Finally, insert accents such as filler flowers like Alstroemeria and cymbidium orchid to add interest to the arrangement. The form of the arrangement is pretty organic which emphasizes the cottage-garden feeling.
